Begin with the temple courtyards, prayer wheels, old royal squares, and lively streets of Kathmandu Valley. Continue through Patan and Bhaktapur to Nagarkot for Himalayan sunrise and sunset views when the weather is clear.

Then exchange the valley for Chitwan's sal forests, grasslands, river channels, Tharu villages, birdlife, crocodiles, and possible greater one-horned rhinoceros sightings before returning to Kathmandu.
